New Overseas Manpower Law Takes Effect

A new overseas employment law, which serves as the new bible of the overseas manpower industry, has recently taken effect and will have a huge impact on land and sea-based recruiters, insurers, and stakeholders in overseas employment.

The new law, also known as Republic Act 10022 and has been implemented since May 2010, has unfortunately spurred confusion among the recruitment community since several changes have been made with the old law which was Republic 8042. The effects of committing errors regarding this new law can be time-consuming and very costly.

Avoid committing these costly mistakes! Register for the "New Overseas Employment Law" on April 14 & 15, 2011 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong.

The seminar will feature government authorities who will teach you what you have to know so that you can completely align your policies, procedures and processes in performing business correctly.

The changes in prominent provisions will be highlighted, and actual cases and updated POEA rulings will be presented. You will also obtain valuable advice and priceless insights from our experts as well as best practices remedies and solutions to problems and challenges encountered in able to fulfill and comply with this new law.

The speakers are both co-authors of the newly-published book, Handbook on Overseas Employment and Pleadings.
