Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines in Cebu City

The 2019 Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines that took effect last February 23 will have tremendous impact on all corporations in the Philippines.  

To educate corporations about this, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a special program entitled 2019 RevisedCorporation Code of the Philippines to be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Seda Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City, Philippines. 

This program is designed to help you in your compliance, in structuring your deals and to avoid the legal pitfalls when making decisions in board and management meetings or when doing business and investing in the Philippines.

The new legal framework introduces fresh concepts aligned with international best practices aimed at improving ease of doing business in the country.  This program is SEC-Accredited for corporate governance.

This one-day training will comprehensively discuss not only the new law and its interpretation but will also cover updates on all the essential Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations issued from 2017 up to the present. Participants will learn what are still relevant or have become irrelevant, and the recent jurisprudence affecting different corporations. It is your business to know the significant changes in the new laws given its effect to all corporations across industries including GOCCs.

This program will feature Atty. Justina F. Callangan, who recently finished her term as Director of Corporate Governance and Finance Department of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Her responsibilities included supervision of all Philippine corporations to ensure all organizations registered with the SEC abide by its governing laws, its rules and regulations and corporate governance compliance.

BIR Computerized Accounting System Compliance for Medium and Large Taxpayers

There are over 3,780++ large taxpayers and many are not compliant to the Bureau of Internal Revenue Regulation 9-2009 requiring large taxpayers to have a Computerized Accounting System (CAS).
