Refresher Course on Business English

People judge you when you use poor grammar in written and spoken words. In a corporate setting, mastery of the English grammar to communicate effectively can open new doors and more opportunities for you and your organization. As non-native speakers of English and as we advance in age, we tend to have lapses in our rules of grammar.  There is no shame in relearning your English!

With the clamor of many of those who want to master their English, the Center for Global Best Practices will feature its best-selling program entitled, Refresher Course on Business English scheduled on Thursday and Friday, September 13 & 14, 2018 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

This two-day back-to-basics intensive program will help you refresh your memory and re-sharpen your skills to master the world’s language for business. This training is guaranteed to bring back that zing, whether you are writing an article, composing a letter, crafting a proposal, editing a document, doing a sales presentation, or making a speech for young and old alike, rank and file, or for decision-makers. You’ll enjoy with some pinch of nostalgia the verve of verbs, the sizzle of well-constructed sentences, an astounding adventure with adjectives and adverbs, nice notices on nouns and pronouns, and entertain yourselves when we reveal those commonly mispronounced words in the English language.

This unique program will feature Prof. Lucris Carina Agnir-Paraan, Ph.D., course director at the Center for Global Best Practices.  She finished her doctorate degree, major in English Studies at the University of the Philippines in Diliman where she was awarded the “Outstanding Dissertation” of the College of Arts and Letters. She earned her MA in Language and Literature at the University of the Philippines in Baguio where she graduated with a 1.007 GPA. Her AB in Philosophy was also earned at UP Diliman, and she graduated high school at the International School of Kuala Lumpur where she was the first Asian and first woman Editor-in-Chief of the school paper.

She conducts regular public and in-house English refresher workshops and seminars on business communication and verbal skills. Among her recent clients are 3M, Aboitiz, American Peace Corps, American Embassy, Anflocor, Chevrolet, Coke, Japan Tobacco, Inc., Lifebank, Medicard, PJ Lhuillier, Savant Technologies, UCPB Gen and the offices under the Executive Secretary in Malacañang.
