Learn everything you need to know about Termination Laws

“You’re FIRED.” That spit-firing charge of a famous real estate mogul and US president, Donald Trump would say in front of his millions of audiences on the hit TV series, Apprentice when he must let go of his people on the spot. However, in the Philippine setting, such action would be a grave violation of the Labor Code.

With the advocacy of educating business owners, administrators, HR practitioners and the general public on the lawful dismissal of employees and prevent costly manpower problems, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a special program entitled, “Best Practices Guide to Valid Dismissal” to be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City, Philippines.

Update yourselves with the changes on termination law. This learning initiative will cover topics such as the rights of employer and employee, substantive and procedural due process before dismissal, just causes for dismissal such as serious misconduct, sexual harassment, insubordination or willful disobedience, neglect of duties, abandonment of work, fraud, and willful breach of trust and confidence, commission of a crime or offense, and other causes of dismissal under Article 282 identified as “analogous” and many more!

Attending to this program will equip you with the right knowledge on the concept of positive discipline, how to implement the grievance machinery, use of preventive suspension, and provide solutions to the most challenging as well as common problems encountered by management.

Learn valuable lessons and insights from labor law expert practitioner, Atty. Elvin Villanueva, who has assembled the most comprehensive, substantive and highly researched materials on this important topic. He has written 25 best-selling books namely: Digest on Critical Supreme Court Decisions on Labor Cases (to be released in June 2018); Guide on Employee Compensation and Benefits Vol. 1 & 2; Guide to Valid Dismissal of Employees; Guide on Wage Order & Minimum Wage; Valid Job Contracting and Subcontracting, Gabay sa mga Karapatan ng mga OFWs; HR Forms, Notices & Contracts Vol. 1 & 2; Employee Transfer & Demotion; Leave Benefits; and many more!
