Managing Financial Performance for CEOs and CFOs

While financial analysis makes sense, it is not enough to afford the management and the board of directors of any organization the value-adding attributes that are required to strategically position a business and take advantage of the opportunities for growth.

With this, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a pioneering program entitled, Best Practices in Managing Financial Performance to be held on Thursday and Friday, October 25 & 26, 2018 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City, Philippines.

This two-day seminar goes beyond the technical and routine financial analytical ratios that can be easily derived at using the data in the financial statements. It provides the participants an opportunity to think more strategically and focus on the significant aspects of managing the financial performance of a business. It covers the tools and techniques in using financial data to set the business strategic goals, plan for relevant business activities, and come up with short-term and long-term financial decisions.

This program will feature course director and lecturer, Rufo R. Mendoza, PhD, CPA, who is the former Chairman of Finance and Accounting Department and Program Director of the Master in Development Management in Public Finance at the Asian Institute of Management. He was the Vice Chair of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy and the Chair of Continuing Professional Development Council for Accountancy.

His consulting experiences include engagements with The World Bank, Australian Agency for International Development, United States Agency for International Development, United Nations Development Programme, and European Commission.

He has written 4 books and 21 research and technical papers. He was a national awardee as Outstanding CPA in Professional Development (2008) and in Government Service (2010) of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of the Philippine Los Baños.

This program is open to the general public. It is also highly recommended for business owners, directors and chairmen of the board, president, CEOs, COOs, CFOs and treasurers, senior management, managers and anyone who is interested to strengthen their business strategies and achieve their goals.
